Description MASTERSOL CT1
MASTERSOL CT1 is a complex mixture of fatty materials, fatty acids and soaps of these materials. The formulation is an aqueous based emulsion which incorporates thickeners, emulsifiers and anticorrosive additives. It can be used in its neat form as supplied but is more frequently used as a further dilution in water. Being water based itself, MASTERSOL CT1 mixes readily with either hot or cold water to produce very stable emulsions with extended life expectancy. These emulsions provide superior film strength on the metal surface, ensuring excellent lubrication and surface quality of the draw rod/tube. In addition the emulsions show a high tolerance to acid carryover from acid pickled feed stock.
MASTERSOL CT1 Performance, Features & Benefits:
- Provides high affinity for the metal surface, ensuring excellent film strength and lubrication characteristics
- Readily miscible with water to produce stable emulsions with good resistance to acid carryover
- Recommended for drawing a wide range of copper and copper alloys by either dip or recirculation application techniques
- Capable of drawing both hard or soft, (annealed), feed stock
- Residual lubricant films help protect the surface of the drawn rod/tube from oxidative attack and mechanical abrasion
