Application CASTROL Tribol GR 100-1 PD

The Tribol GR 100 PD Range can be used for long term lubrication even under the most difficult operating conditions such as extreme pressure, vibrations, shock loads and a wide temperature range (-35°C to 140°C / -31°F to 284°F) in highly loaded rolling and sliding bearings. Typical applications include bearings of spinning and grinding spindles, gear motors exposed to shock loads, screening / wood shaping machines and bearing surfaces of printing plates. These greases are also suitable for bearings with a rotating outer ring and undergoing high stresses due to centrifugal load. Examples are spreader rolls, roll neck bearings in steel mills, and bearings with changing rotational directions or slewing movements. They are also used in curved teeth couplings and centralised lubricating systems. Tribol GR 100-0 PD and 100-00 PD can be used as semi-fluid grease lubricants in gears such as flange, drum-type and worm gears. These two products are also suitable for use in gears without oil-tight enclosures, gear wheels and rolling bearings with a grease reservoir

The excellent thermal and mechanical stability of Castrol High Temperature Grease make it particularly suitable for use in automotive bearing applications where rotational speeds may be higher or prolonged heavy braking may generate higher than normal hub temperatures. Specific examples may include cars fitted with disc brakes or commercial vehicles such as trucks or buses. Castrol High Temperature Grease also offers good resistance to water and corrosion as well as very good load carrying performance making it suitable for general vehicle chassis lubrication or bearings on off-road construction vehicles where greater extremes of pressure may be prevalent.

Spheerol SX 2 is a true multipurpose ship machinery lubricant, specifically developed to provide enhanced lubrication and protection for bearings, wire ropes and open gears usually found in marine environments. Spheerol SX 2 is suitable for most journal bearings, wire ropes and open gears used in marine deck equipment and can be considered for roller, ball and needle bearings generally used in engine room equipment. In addition to the excellent protection provided for wire ropes and open gears, Spheerol SX 2 is also suitable for use on a wide range of deck equipment where it will protect and lubricate hinges, turnbuckles, screws, fair leads etc. For multipurpose applications a grease gun may be used with Spheerol SX 2. Long-term Grease

Application CASTROL SPHEEROL LC

Due to its high load carrying capacity and its water resistance Spheerol LZ is suited for the universal use in building site operations and in all transport devices. In addition it can be used in machines of the agricultural and forestry sector and also for demanding grease lubrication points in industrial gearboxes. Spheerol LZ is particularly suited for highly loaded rolling and plain bearings in a wet and dusty environment (e.g. universal joints, wheel hubs, sprockets, steering racks, etc.). The temperature range for this grease lies between - 20 °C and + 120 °C (for a short time even 130°C).

CASTROL SPHEEROL LMM

Bearing grease

Application CASTROL SPHEEROL LMM

Spheerol LMM grease is suitable for most types of bearing and a wide range of other industrial applications, which require a molybdenum disulphide grease, including grease lubricated gears. Spheerol LMM may be used in plain and rolling element bearings, including heavily loaded bearings at low and medium speeds, and those subject to shock loading and excessive vibrations.

The incorporation of solid lubricant in Spheerol LMM greases makes this grease particularly suited for the lubrication of reciprocating and sliding motion elements, where the prevention of scuffing and fretting is desirable. Typical applications include pivot pins, cams, screws, splined shafts, slides, flexible joints (ball, universal, CV joints etc). It is also useful for the lubrication of chains, swivels and shackles to prevent scuffing. NB Not recommended for rolling element bearings - ie wheel bearings

Spheerol BNS 2 is suitable for the lubrication of bearings at high temperatures, such as soot blower bearings, in carriages for hardening, drying in tunnel ovens, also in bearings of bitumen mixing plants, cranes in foundries, etc. Spheerol BNS 2 can be used at a temperature range of -20ºC to +150ºC, and for short periods at a temperature range of up to +220ºC. Frequent re-greasing or grease change should be considered subject to application requirements.
