Solvent based degreaser previously Houghton Callina 2306 & 2201

Properties of Houghto-Clean 510

Houghto-Clean 510 is an extremely versatile slow evaporating solvent cleaner.

Application of Houghto-Clean 510

Houghto-Clean 510 has been formulated for manual and and immersion cleaning applications as an alternative to to halogenated and other user and environmentally and unacceptable solvent cleaners.

Houhto-Clean 510 has been formulated has to remove low viscosity neat oils, greases, waxes and similar type soils from ferrous and non-ferrous metals, solvent resistant composites plastics and elastomers.

Degreasing of parts before assembly or welding is not necessary. Cleaned surfaces are left with a virtually imperceptible light coating which can provide temporary corrosion pretection of ferrous metals.

Houghto-Clean 510

A general purpose degreasing solvent for immersion and manual cleaning of oils, greases, waxes and similar organic contamination. The slow evaporation provides some temporary inter-operational corrosion protection for ferrous metals.

Advantages of Houghto-Clean 510

  • Low Odour for operator acceptance
  • Multi substrate compatibility
  • Leaves a very light temperary corrosion protecting film
  • No Flammable labelling for less restricted storage and usage

Recommendations for use

Customer Questions
The oxidation of copper present in certain aluminum alloys is the cause of black marks which appear quickly after machining with soluble oil. Is there a product to avoid this problem?
The problem probably lies with the emulsion used. If it has too high a pH then it can cause black staining. What emulsion are you using? Please send us a Technical data sheet of the product. It is not being solved with an anti corrosion product, because the harm is mostly caused by the emulsion being used or the poor remaining quality of it.
