Our experience so far has shown that the raw materials of Klüber Summit SH 46 XS are paint-compatible and thus do not interfere with the quality of a paint finish. In view of the many different paint systems and testing criteria, individual paint compatibility tests should be performed by the user prior to series application. When selecting the oil viscosity for air compressors, please observe the manufacturer's instructions. When switching a used compressor to Klüber Summit SH 46 XS, drain the old oil from the whole circuit while still warm. We also recommend changing all oil filters and separators. Then refill the compressor with Klüber Summit SH 46 XS. If the previously used oil was a mineral oil, oxidation residues may be present in the compressor. Typical symptoms are black discolouration or impurities in the previously used oil. As such residues can affect the service life of the fresh Klüber Summit SH 46 XS oil, we recommend cleaning the compressor with Klüber Summit Varnasolv prior to changeover.
