Spheerol BNS 2 is suitable for the lubrication of bearings at high temperatures, such as soot blower bearings, in carriages for hardening, drying in tunnel ovens, also in bearings of bitumen mixing plants, cranes in foundries, etc. Spheerol BNS 2 can be used at a temperature range of -20ºC to +150ºC, and for short periods at a temperature range of up to +220ºC. Frequent re-greasing or grease change should be considered subject to application requirements.

Klüberlectric BE 44-152 has been designed for the long-term lubrication of rolling bearings in which static electricity may occur, such as electric motors, paper-making machines, copying machines, film-stretching stenters, guides in conveyors and fans. Klüberlectric BE 44-152 has proven efficient for ball and roller bearings subject to a current intensity of approx. 1 Ampere. The electric conductivity of Klüberlectric BE 44-152 has been determined in tests based on DIN 62631-3-1. On the rolling bearing test rig FAG-FE9 acc. to DIN 51 821 and on FAG-FE8 acc. to DIN 51 819, the product showed very good service life and wear protection.

UNISILKON GLK 112 is primarily used for the lubrication of rubber/metal, plastic/metal or plastic/plastic friction pairings. Possible applications are in slideways, seals (also EPDM), Bowden cables. Application Klüber Klüberquiet BQ 72-72

Klüberquiet BQ 72-72 is suitable for bearings where long service life is required in combination with especially low-noise operation. Such applications include rolling bearings in electric motors, fans, air conditioners, generators and belt tighteners in cars, electric household appliances and office equipment. The product should therefore primarily be used for the long-term or for-life lubrication of capped or sealed bearings. The low-noise characteristics of this rolling bearing grease have been confirmed in various tests performed on special noise test rigs. Tests according to the SKF-BeQuiet+ method showed that Klüberquiet BQ 72-72 can be classified as noise class GN 3. Grease service life tests were conducted on SKF-ROF and FAG-FE9 rolling bearing testers according to DIN 51 821. The results showed long service lives at high temperatures (see product data).

The blue color of Mobilgrease XHP 461 and 462 enables easy verification of application. With its high, ISO VG 460 base oil viscosity, these greases are recommended for high load applications at slow-to-moderate speeds, including most bearing applications in the paper, construction, and mining industries, as well as off-highway vehicles. Specific applications: Mobilgrease XHP 461 is recommended by ExxonMobil for use in industrial and marine applications, chassis components and farm equipment. It provides excellent low temperature performance. It is satisfactory for low speed flexible gear-type couplings. Mobilgrease XHP 462 Series is recommended for use in felt roll bearings, wet end bearings, and press section bearings. It is also a good multi-purpose grease for general mill applications and industrial and marine applications, chassis components and farm equipment. Mobilgrease XHP 462 Moly is fortified with 3% molybdenum disulfide and is particularly recommended by ExxonMobil for applications such as bucket pins and fifth wheels, where molybdenum disulphide provides an extra level of protection where sliding friction and oscillating motion can lead to rupturing of the oil film, resulting in metal to metal contact.

Application CASTROL BioTac MP

BioTac MPTM has been developed primarily for use on exposed marine deck applications and combines excellent physical properties that enable resistance to both mechanical shear and water spray-off with an additive system developed to protect exposed components from corrosion, oxidation and the effects of load, friction and wear. BioTac MPTM is intended for use in a wide range of applications including plain bearings, wire ropes and open gears typically found in marine mooring and cargo winches. Furthermore, ramp door bearings, pedestal bearings and cargo hatch rollers are also examples of slow/medium speed marine deck applications for which BioTac MPTM is ideally suited. The combination of thickener and base oil technology enables BioTac MPTM to have a broad operating temperature range of between -35C and +125C.

Rolling and plain bearings subject to high temperatures One of the well-known strengths of the BARRIERTA L 55 series is the products' suitability for the lubrication of bearings and guides operating under extreme temperatures. A low evaporation rate enables longest grease lives and hence longest relubrication intervals. Typical applications include: – conveyors (load and turn rollers) – kiln cart wheel bearings – calender bearings – fan bearings – chain bearings in film stretching stenters BARRIERTA L 55/2 is most frequently used for initial and longterm lubrication. For relubrication softer grades of NLGI class 1 or lower are recommended. Friction points under the influence of media BARRIERTA L 55 greases offer exceptionally long service lifetimes even when exposed to any of a large number of aggressive media such as concentrated acids, lyes, organic solvents or gases. In addition to their resistance to media, BARRIERTA L 55/2 and BARRIERTA L 55/3 offer also good adhesion and a sealing effect, which makes them suitable for application in – valves, fittings and installations e.g. in the chemical industry – pneumatic components – level gauges, e.g. for fuels or chemicals – seals (static, dynamic) – extraction systems Food-processing and pharmaceutical industries All BARRIERTA L 55 greases are registered as NSF-H1 and are therefore in compliance with FDA 21 CFR § 178.3570. The additional certification according to ISO 21469 supports the compliance with the hygienic requirements in your production plant. White-coloured BARRIERTA L 55 special lubricants can therefore also be used on friction points where incidental contact with food products cannot be ruled out for technical reasons, e.g. in rolling and plain bearings and guides operating under high thermal loads in – automatic baking ovens – cooking or frying lines – conveyor systems Plastic-plastic friction points BARRIERTA L 55 greases – irrespective of NLGI grade - are neutral towards the majority of plastic materials.
