Houghton Garia 405 M-22

Properties

GARIA 405 M-22 is based on hydro treated mineral oil with low aromatic content. A combination of polar. extreme pressure and anti-wear additives provide the oil with high load carrying properties. The oil provides good surface finish of the machined work pieces.

GARIA 405 M-22 contains active sulphur and may discolour yellow metals.

The oil is zinc and chlorine free.

Applications

GARIA 405 M-22 is the universal oil for the gear shop. It shows excellent performance for the gear grinding as well as for gear hobbing and shaping operations.

GARIA 405 M-22 is used also for the machining of steel and cast iron on automatic turning lathes.

Application Mobil Zerice S 46

Mobil Zerice S products are recommended for all types of refrigeration compressors: piston compressors as well as rotary screw compressors. They are very suitable for refrigerants based on chlorofluorocarbons and, under certain conditions, also with ammonia in compressors of certain manufacturers. Mobil Zerice S products should not be used with sulphur dioxide and R134A refrigerants. The viscosity grade should be selected according to the recommendations of the compressor manufacturer.

Shell Vacuum Pump Oil S3 RX 100 is suitable for applications where ambient temperatures exceed 0°C and maximum operating temperatures do not exceed 100°C. The vacuum range generally tends to decrease as the operating temperature of the pump increases. Shell Vacuum Pump Oil S3 RX 100 is suitable for vacuum pumps operating between atmospheric pressures of 1 mbar - 10-3 mbar. Shell Vacuum Pump Oil S3 RX 100 is not recommended for use when corrosive gases or chemical vapors are involved in the extraction process.

Houghton Garia 602.02 M-15

Properties

Houghton’s Garia™ series line of neat cutting oils contain active chemistry for medium to severe cutting of aluminum, cast iron, steel and stainless steel. Additives ensure long sump life and resistance to dilution with tramp oils.

The oils show excellent results by working with many difficult operations like broaching, deep-hole drilling, tapping, shaping or shaving of gears. 

Using Houghton 602.02 Garia M-15 specifically in deep drilling operations allows higher cutting speeds and greater lubrication providing  very high efficiency combined with minimum wear of cutting heads and drill guides.

Houghton Garia 602.02 M-15 is a cutting oil that can be used for machining of a wide variety of materials, such as cast iron, copper alloys, aluminum alloys, steel alloys, stainless steel, acid-and heat-resistant steels.

Houghton 602.02 Garia M-15 was designed for difficult machining operations such as deep drilling, drilling, reaming, threading, grinding, broaching and gear cutting on the above mentioned materials. Using Houghton 602.02 Garia M-15 specifically in deep drilling operations allows higher cutting speeds and greater lubricity thereby providing  high efficiency combined with minimum wear of cutting heads and drill guides.

Garia 601 M-12 and M-22 are neat cutting oils for machining of high alloy steels (stainless,heat resistant, austenitic, etc.) and aluminium ormagnesium alloys.

The oils show excellent results in working with many difficult operations like broaching, deep-hole drilling, tapping, shaping,and shaving of gears.

• Garia 601 M-12 and M-22 products are also very good grinding oils.

Rolling bearings and guideways BARRIERTA K greases are highly suitable for the long-term lubrication of rolling and plain bearings, where only low driving power is available and where long-term stability is required under changing environmental loads. Even at extremely low temperatures, BARRIERTA K greases are soft enough so as not to overload low-power drive units, while on the other hand they withstand temperatures as high as 200°C and beyond. BARRIERTA K greases are used for a wide range of applications as for-life lubricants in automotive, electrical and precision engineering. Valves and seals The BARRIERTA K greases good temperature resistance and their compatibility with plastics and elastomers – which is typical of PFPE lubricants – make them highly suitable for the lubrication of engine valves and seals as are found in hydraulic cylinders. BARRIERTA K greases enable long runtimes with low noise generation and low friction coefficients. The resistance of BARRIERTA KM 192 against brake fluids, type DOT 3, 4, 5 and 5.1, has been confirmed in an individual test. Mobilgrease XHP 460 greases are used in a wide range of equipment including industrial, automotive, construction and marine applications. The blue color of Mobilgrease XHP 461 and 462 enables easy verification of application. With its high, ISO VG 460 base oil viscosity, these greases are recommended for high load applications at slow-to-moderate speeds, including most bearing applications in the paper, construction, and mining industries, as well as off-highway vehicles. Specific applications: Mobilgrease XHP 461 is recommended by ExxonMobil for use in industrial and marine applications, chassis components and farm equipment. It provides excellent low temperature performance. It is satisfactory for low speed flexible gear-type couplings. Mobilgrease XHP 462 Series is recommended for use in felt roll bearings, wet end bearings, and press section bearings. It is also a good multi-purpose grease for general mill applications and industrial and marine applications, chassis components and farm equipment. Mobilgrease XHP 462 Moly is fortified with 3% molybdenum disulfide and is particularly recommended by ExxonMobil for applications such as bucket pins and fifth wheels, where molybdenum disulphide provides an extra level of protection where sliding friction and oscillating motion can lead to rupturing of the oil film, resulting in metal to metal contact.
