Shell Spirax S6 ATF 134ME has been developed as an initial-fill and service-fill fluid for the latest generation of fuel economy optimized 7-speed automatic transmissions (NAG2FE+) used in Mercedes-Benz passenger cars. Shell Spirax S6 ATF 134ME is mandatory for all NAG2FE+transmissions. Shell Spirax S6 ATF 134ME must not be used in older Mercedes-Benz 5- and 7-speed automatic transmissions that require ATFs with MB-approvals 236.10, 236.12 or 236.14.

Power steering units.  Hydraulic systems requiring this grade of fluid. 1) Shell Spirax S5 ATF X should not be used where Type F fluids are recommended; check application manual if the vehicle is one of the following: Datsun/Nissan pre 1971, Lincoln pre 1978, Ford/Mercury pre 1981, Toyota pre 1983, Volvo pre 1985, Mazda pre 1986, Saab pre 1993. 2) Shell Spirax S5 ATF X should not be used in Continuous Variable Transmissions (CVTs) or Double Clutch Transmissions (DCTs). 3) Shell Spirax S5 ATF X does not meet the low viscosity requirements of 2006 and later GM vehicles requiring DEXRON® - VI, Ford applications requiring Ford MERCON® LV or Mercon® SP, Shell 1375.4, Toyota WS, Hyundai SP-IV or SPH-IVRR, Nissan Matic-S, Honda ATF DW-1, Chrysler ZF 9 speed ATF, other ZF 9-speed ATFs (in a number of European cars), newer Daimler transmissions (ATF 134 or later MB Approval 236.12, 236.14, 236.15 or 236.16) and other specialty transmissions where a low viscosity ATF is recommended. Where applications allow use of an alternate fluid of a higher viscosity (example Nissan Matic-J when Nissan Matic-S is not available) to one of the above fluid specifications, Pennzoil PlatinumTM High Mileage & Import MV ATF is an excellent recommendation. Shell Spirax S2G 80w-90

Properties

Shell Spirax S3 G 80W is a mineral automotive gear oil containing multi-functional additives required for mild extreme pressure conditions. Shell Spirax G 80w-90 is also known as Shell 80w-90 or 80w90 or 80W/90.

Manual gearboxes
Spirax S2 G are essentially for the lubrication of manual gearboxes of passenger cars and commercial vehicles operating under high speed/low torque and low speed/high torque conditions. Suitable for gearboxes fitted with synchromesh.

Rear axles
Suitable for applications presenting conditions of medium severity, such as light duty commercial vehicles and passenger cars.

Not suitable for heavy duty hypoid axles.

Applications

Heavy duty gearboxes fitted with synchromesh, in particular for those working under very severe load and operation conditions and therefore where the oil temperature is usually high.

This product is particularly designed to meet the latest Mercedes Benz heavy duty transmission requirements and can be used where this manufacturer recommend an approved lubricant according to the Sheet 235.11.

Transmission MA can also be recommended for passenger car gearboxes including Transaxle design.
