Shell Tellus S4 ME 46 has been specially developed to reduce the energy consumption of hydraulic applications. It is based on synthetic base oils and a unique formula for optimal flow, friction and power transmission. Energy saving properties of up to 4% of Shell Tellus S4 ME 46 have been demonstrated in laboratory and documented field trials.
These are average savings. The actual saving depends on the application, the oil used so far, maintenance habits, operating conditions and the intensity of the hydraulic system's operation.

Shell Tellus S4 ME 46 offers outstanding performance in all relevant criteria for hydraulic oils. It has excellent wear protection and very good oxidation stability in the presence of water.
The oil change intervals can be extended significantly. In the TOST test (Turbine Oil Stability Test), it was possible to clearly show a runtime of 10,000 hours. This can help Shell Tellus S4 ME 46 reduce maintenance costs.

Shell Tellus S4 ME 46 is also suitable for use in mobile hydraulic power transmission systems and marine applications as it offers superior low-temperature flow properties compared to many ISO HM oils.
+ Environmental Compatibility
Shell Tellus S4 ME 46 has less environmental impact in case of leakage or unwanted contamination compared to conventional zinc containing hydraulic oils.
